KAI Privacy Policy

0. Age Requirement

KAI is intended for users aged 18 years and older. Registration requires an age confirmation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

1. Information We Collect

When you use KAI, we collect the following information: • Google account information (name, email, profile photo) when you register or sign in with Google Sign-In. • Registration data (name, username, email, phone, gender, age, password hash). • Location data (if you grant permission) to provide contextual conversation experiences. • Chat history with your AI companion to improve response quality. • User-uploaded images (profile photo, banner, custom character photo, story media). • Payment metadata from Midtrans (transaction status, order ID — never card details). • App usage data (message count, session duration).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the AI companion service. • To process point/Chocolate purchase transactions. • To improve AI conversation quality and user experience. • To send service-related notifications (if permitted). • We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Google Sign-In

• We use Google Sign-In for secure authentication. • When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo. • If your email is not yet registered, a KAI account is created automatically. • We do not store your Google password. Authentication is handled entirely via Google OAuth. • You can revoke KAI access to your Google account at any time via your Google account settings.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored securely with encryption. • Conversation history is stored on our servers for a seamless experience. • You can request deletion of your data at any time. • We apply industry-standard security measures.

5. AI and Conversation Data

• Your conversations are processed by Google Gemini AI to generate responses. • AI companions are fictional characters, not real humans. • AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate. • We are not responsible for advice provided by the AI.

6. User-Created AI Characters

• Users can create custom AI characters (1 free for free users). • Photos and data you upload for custom characters are stored on our servers. • You are responsible for the content you upload (no prohibited content). • We reserve the right to remove characters that violate our terms.

7. User Rights

• You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data. • You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. • Contact us at support@kaiapp.id for privacy-related inquiries.

8. Payment & Refund

• In-app purchases (Cokelat / Chocolate points) are processed by Midtrans, a licensed Indonesian payment gateway. • Pricing is displayed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). All purchases are one-time — we do NOT offer auto-renewing subscriptions and do NOT bill recurringly. • Cokelat have no cash value, are non-transferable, and do not expire while your account is active. • Refund requests must be made within 24 hours of the transaction by emailing support@kaiapp.id with proof of payment. Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days.

9. Content Moderation & Safety

• Every AI-generated message can be reported (long-press the message in chat). • User-uploaded images are scanned by automated content classifiers to detect and block CSAM, nudity, graphic violence, and other prohibited content. • AI character outputs use Google's safety filters set to BLOCK_MEDIUM_AND_ABOVE for hate speech, harassment, sexually explicit, and dangerous content. • Reported content is reviewed by our moderation team. Confirmed violations result in content removal and possible account suspension.

10. Policy Changes

• We may update this policy from time to time. • Significant changes will be announced via the app. • Continued use after changes means you agree to the updated policy.
